Litigation Associate Miranda Dang successfully assisted her Afghan client in getting her asylum application approved by USCIS. Miranda’s client fled Afghanistan in 2021 when the Taliban violently took over the Afghan government. Before leaving Afghanistan, the client had recently graduated from university with a background in law and criminal justice. At the time of the Taliban takeover, she was working at the Attorney General’s office as a lawyer-in-training. Miranda’s client hopes to continue her legal career in the United States.

Miranda continues to serve Afghan asylum-seekers as part of her pro bono practice.
