Managing Partner, Mary Beth Gray presented at a session during the 2026 ESOP Association’s Professionals’ Forum – a multi-day meeting for experienced professionals who provide technical, financial, and legal assistance to ESOP companies. The panel session focused on issues at the intersection of ESOPs and mergers and acquisitions from both buyer and seller perspectives. The presenters discussed deal structures to address the unique requirements of ESOPs, including fiduciary and governance challenges, and strategies to help mitigate risks, resolve tax issues, and successfully close transactions.
