Mary Beth Gray, Managing Partner and a member of the Firm’s Business & Finance Practice authored an article in The Legal Intelligencer to discuss the need to retain and sustain female attorneys. Mary Beth discusses the importance of accommodating employees’ schedules and fostering open communications about boundaries, availability, and flexibility to ensure all employees feel fulfilled and invested in the work that they are doing. She also noted that the pandemic has made it more obvious how work is integrated into everyone’s personal lives and brings to light the demands and responsibilities that are present both in and out of the office. She suggests looking outside of the legal industry to better accommodate employees and create a better balance in order to increase retention.
