On July 12, 2016, at the request of various media entities, Judge Gary Glazer of the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas unsealed several documents in the ongoing insurance coverage dispute between Kleinbard client Pennsylvania Manufacturers’ Association Insurance Company, and Penn State University.  The release of those documents included excerpts of depositions in which victims claimed to have reported abuse to employees and members of the football coaching staff at Penn State including head football coach Joe Paterno as far back as 1976.   Media access to these court documents has prompted national attention including front page coverage in the Philadelphia Inquirer.  Kleinbard litigators Steven J. Engelmyer and Paul Gagne, representing PMA, were cited in the following articles from philly.com, The Legal Intelligencer, and Law360 detailing the deposition testimony of  victims who said that employees and officials of Penn State, including head football coach Joe Paterno, were aware of their abuse by Sandusky.
