Zegel also serves as Director of the Philadelphia DiB Chapter

Philadelphia, PA – Kleinbard, a Philadelphia-based law firm, announced today that Partner Jennifer Zegel has been appointed the 2021 Secretary of the Board for Diversity in Blockchain (DiB) National, headquartered in New York City. In early 2020, Zegel was also instrumental in launching the Philadelphia Chapter and was appointed to serve as director.

“Encouraging and empowering equal participation in the blockchain industry is a mission I feel passionately about,” said Zegel. “It’s an honor to be closely involved with DiB at both a local and now national level as we strive to build a support network of practitioners through education, networking and discussion.”

Founded in 2017, DiB is a nonprofit organization committed to creating equal, open and inclusive opportunities in the blockchain industry. As secretary, Zegel will serve alongside Susan Joseph as Executive Director and Anna Ashurov as President/Treasurer.

“We are thrilled to welcome Jennifer to the DiB Executive Board,” said Joseph. “She brings a wealth of experience and passion, and we are both excited to have her serve with us.”

Zegel is a partner in Kleinbard’s Business and Finance Department and is Practice Leader of the Trusts and Estate Group. She has a special focus in estate planning and the estate administration of digital assets, which is becoming a fast growing and increasingly complex area. Zegel is at the forefront of this emerging section of property transfers, which also overlaps and intersects with technology, privacy and accessibility considerations. She regularly speaks at conferences, authors articles and is a media source on digital assets, cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
