Kleinbard partner Mary Beth Gray will serve on two panels at the 2016 Capital Strategies and M&A Forum hosted by Matheson Financial Advisors. Kleinbard will serve as a sponsor of the Forum scheduled for May 9 – 11, 2016 at the Trump International Hotel & Tower in Chicago, Illinois.  Gray will present at the following sessions:  Issues Affecting Buyers and Sellers with ESOPs  and Getting Ready for a Transaction.

In the first session, Ms. Gray’s panel will discuss a range of issues unique to M&A activity involving companies sponsoring ESOPs.  The second session will cover the steps buyers and sellers can take before embarking on mergers and acquisitions and any other transaction.

Ms. Gray is a partner in Kleinbard’s Business and Finance Department.  She practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (representing sellers and buyers), corporate finance, corporate governance, corporate restructuring, and executive compensation. Her practice has a special focus on business succession, including the sale of businesses to employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs) and other transactions involving ESOPs.  She was named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer in the area of Mergers & Acquisitions in 2014 and 2015.

Ms. Gray is a frequent speaker on the topic of ESOPs.  She is a member of the ESOP Association and the National Center for Employee Ownership.  In addition, she is a member of the Forum of Executive Women and the Sustainable Business Network of Philadelphia.
