Kleinbard LLC is proud to announce the addition of Kelly Anne Donohoe as Partner in the firm’s Business and Finance Department and member of the Real Estate Group. The announcement comes on the heels of a significant growth period for the firm, with Donohoe as the seventh new hire over 18 months, including four lawyers in the Real Estate Group in the past year. Donohoe is also the third female partner added by Kleinbard during that time.

Donohoe has a national real estate practice focusing on acquisitions, leasing, financing and dispositions of commercial real estate assets. Donohoe also has substantial experience in negotiating and documenting commercial real estate joint ventures for her clients with institutional investors. She joins an experienced bench of attorneys, who provide counsel on a wide breadth of real estate matters, including leasing, litigation and dispute resolution, tax appeals and exemptions, regulatory issues, and purchase and sale transactions.

“Kelly is a wonderful addition to the firm during an exciting time for us,” said Mary Beth Gray, a managing partner of the Firm. “Our Real Estate Group is in a unique position to provide our clients with comprehensive services from start to finish, working hand-in-hand with clients from raising funds through the final sale of a project.”

Prior to joining Kleinbard, Donohoe was a co-founding partner of Silverang, Donohoe, Rosenzweig & Haltzman LLC. During her tenure, she represented a number of national real estate funds and private REITs, as well as regional developers. Notably, Donohoe recently represented a private REIT in a $3.15 billion sale of 209 high-quality industrial assets in 25 key distribution markets across the United States.

“Kleinbard has an established reputation for successfully handling complex and sophisticated transactions, while working as a trusted extension of their client’s team. I was drawn to the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit and emphasis on investing in their people,” said Donohoe. “I look forward to working collaboratively with a talented group of attorneys to offer my clients a comprehensive suite of services.”

Donohoe also previously served as Vice President and Assistant General Counsel of O’Neill Properties Group, where her primary focus was management of the company’s debt and equity portfolio. Donohoe began her career as an associate in the Real Estate Department of Buchanan Ingersoll, P.C. in Philadelphia. She graduated cum laude from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law and earned her B.A. from Pennsylvania State University.
