Kleinbard litigation partner, Mark Seiberling, was quoted in the LancasterOnline article entitled – Salary payments to Lancaster County Sheriff Mark Reese may be coming to a temporary halt.
Kleinbard represents State Senators Scott Martin and Ryan Aument, both of Lancaster County, in a quo warranto action seeking to resolve the status of the public office of Sheriff of Lancaster County and to obtain a determination that the former Sheriff Mark Reese has abandoned and/or resigned from his office, such that a new Sheriff should be appointed immediately. Reese stopped showing up to work and stopped performing the duties of Sheriff as of July 2016, following sexual harassment allegations involving a deputy, but has continued to unlawfully collect the salary of the Sheriff.
