Kleinbard LLC is proud to announce that Michael A. Frattone has been elected a Managing Partner of the Firm and that Alan W. Wong has been elected a partner of the Firm.

Michael Frattone joined Kleinbard in 1997 as an associate in the Firm’s Business and Finance Department. Over the course of his career at Kleinbard, he has been an invaluable member of the Firm’s strategic and succession planning team serving as the Firm’s lateral recruiting partner and on numerous committees including technology, compensation and business development.

Michael practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions (representing sellers and buyers), corporate and real estate financings, corporate restructurings, venture capital investments, joint ventures, and executive compensation. He has extensive experience in the mergers and acquisitions area, representing both buyers and sellers in asset- and stock-based transactions.

Michael represents one of the largest communications holding companies in the world, with portfolio companies in infrastructure sectors such as cellular and broadcasting towers, rooftop and distributed antenna systems (DAS), and fiber and data centers. Some of Michael’s representative highlights include:

  • Represented a tower company in a competitive auction with respect to its acquisition and lease-back of telecommunication towers from a public utility company for approximately $40 million.
  • Represented a private equity-backed consolidator of veterinary hospitals in connection with over 50 acquisitions.
  • Represented Digital Bridge Holdings in an initial equity fundraising of $200 million for a new affiliate.
  • Represented the management of Global Tower Partners in connection with the merger of the company into American Tower Corporation for an enterprise value of $4.8 billion.

Alan Wong joined Kleinbard in 2010 as an associate in the Business and Finance Department. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on middle market businesses; corporate finance; venture capital investments; joint ventures; and general corporate matters, including negotiation of executive employment agreements, business formation and commercial transactions.He represents clients across a wide variety of industries, including the telecommunications, electronic security, technology, healthcare and manufacturing industries.

Alan practices out of Boston, Philadelphia and Providence, Rhode Island.
