Kleinbard LLC is proud to announce that Julie C. Berson has joined the Firm as an associate in the Business and Finance Department and a member of the Real Estate Group.

Julie’s real estate practice experience includes commercial real estate finance with concentrations in the origination, acquisition, syndication and disposition of mortgage loans, mezzanine financings and subordinate debt, post-closing modifications, and loan sales and purchases. She also has experience with purchase and sale agreements, leasing, and condominiums. Julie has represented a number of investment banks, life insurance companies, commercial banks and institutional investors.

Prior to joining Kleinbard, Julie was an associate at Dechert LLP in the Finance and Real Estate Group. She served as a law clerk to Judge Pollak, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and to Judge Shapiro, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.

Julie earned her law degree, magna cum laude, from Temple University where she was a member of the Temple Law Review and she received her B.A., cum laude, from Connecticut College.
