Kleinbard managing partner, David L. Hyman, was honored for his “outstanding accomplishments in the non-profits and business worlds” by Congregation Kol Ami at a special event held on Wednesday, June 17 at the National Museum of American Jewish History.  John A. Fry, President of Drexel University, served as the event chair.  Hyman shared the evening’s honors with his wife, Farah Jimenez, who was also recognized for her accomplishments in the non-profit and business worlds.

Hyman is the Practice Leader of Kleinbard’s Government Relations Group.  His practice includes advising a wide range of clients regarding their interest with municipal and state government. On a daily basis, he interacts with elected and appointed officials in Philadelphia, the region, and Harrisburg.

Hyman has been active in the Philadelphia business and civic communities for over 30 years.  He is past President and a current Board Member of both Congregation Kol Ami and the American Jewish Committee’s Philadelphia Chapter.  He served as a Founding Board Member of Congregation Kol Ami in 1994.  He is also a past Chairman of the Philadelphia Facilities Management Corporation (which oversees the Philadelphia Gas Works), Operation Understanding and The Association for Independent Growth.  In addition, he is also a past Vice Chairman of VisitPhilly.  He currently serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development and the Building Association of Philadelphia. Among various community recognitions, David has received Eisenhower Exchange and Wexner Heritage Fellowships and is a recipient of the Judge Learned Hand Award.
