Kleinbard LLC managing partner, David Hyman, was recently elected to serve as Secretary of the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development’s (PAID) Board of Directors.  Hyman, originally appointed by Mayor Nutter, has served on the PAID Board for almost 7 years.  PAID is a public authority organized to manage industrial and commercial real estate; issue taxable and tax-exempt bonds; and deliver governmental grant funding for economic development projects throughout the city.

Hyman is the practice leader of Kleinbard’s Government Relations Group.  He advises a wide range of clients regarding their interest with municipal and state government.

Hyman has been involved in Philadelphia’s business and civic communities for over 30 years.  He has served as the Mayor’s representative to the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation Board and on the Mayor’s Commission on Gaming.  David was also a founding Board Member and Mayoral appointee to the Greater Philadelphia Tourism and Marketing Corporation Board.  In addition, he serves on the Board of the Building Industry Association.  David is past President and a current Board Member of both the American Jewish Committee’s Philadelphia Chapter and Congregation Kol Ami.  He served as a Founding Board Member of Congregation Kol Ami in 1994.  In addition, he is a past President of Operation Understanding and The Association for Independent Growth.
