Joshua Voss and Shohin Vance Co-Author Article on the Acknowledgement of Final Orders by the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania

Kleinbard appellate attorneys Joshua Voss and Shohin Vance recently contributed an article to The Legal Intelligencer on the significance of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania acknowledging grand jury “final orders.” In their article they discuss the recent Pennsylvania Supreme Court opinion In re Grand Jury Investigation No. 18 (Petition of C.S.), No. 18 MM 2019 (Pa. Jan. 22, 2020) where the court “spent time in footnote six telling us that final orders may yet be real.” This appellate procedure is significant, “at least to those who practice before grand juries and understand that this footnote is the closest the Supreme Court has come in over 30 years to again affirming that final orders in grand jury cases are sometimes issued.”
