Alan W. Wong

Alan Wong is a partner in the Business and Finance Department.  He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, with an emphasis on middle market businesses; corporate finance; venture capital investments; joint ventures; and general corporate matters, including negotiation of executive employment agreements, business formation and commercial transactions.

He represents clients across a wide variety of industries, including the telecommunications, electronic security, technology, healthcare and manufacturing industries.

He practices out of Boston, Philadelphia and Providence, Rhode Island.

Prior to joining the Firm, Alan was an associate in the Corporate and Securities Department of the Philadelphia office of Dechert LLP.

  • Represented wireless tower development companies in numerous domestic and international acquisitions involving hundreds of telecommunication towers and sites.
  • Represented some of the nation’s largest electronic security and life safety companies in acquisitions and financings.
  • Represented a defense contractor in the sale of its interest in a joint venture.
  • Represented a founder of a technology company in connection with a seed capital financing.
  • Represented a shareholder in a family-owned business in a transaction that allowed the client to avoid costly litigation in an ongoing family dispute.
  • Represented a private equity-backed portfolio company in numerous acquisitions of veterinary hospitals located on the East Coast.
  • Negotiated multi-million dollar telecommunications development and management agreements in significant buildings and venues, including Washington Nationals Park.
  • Advised several cable services companies on their national roll-out of electronic alarm services.
  • Represented a private equity fund in its acquisition of the software products division of a technology company.
  • Represented a semiconductor manufacturer in its acquisition of an integrated circuit producer.

Community Activities

Alan currently serves on board of directors of Rhode Island Legal Services and on the finance committee of the Providence Public Library.   He is a mentor at the Social Enterprise Greenhouse, an organization supporting social enterprises throughout New England, and he previously served on the strategic planning committee and an advisory board of the Bethesda Project, a Philadelphia nonprofit serving homeless men and women.
